This week we have a day off of school on Thursday to honor our veterans.  The holiday was first celebrated on November 11, 1919 to celebrate the end of WWI the previous year, and to honor the men that had fought in that war.

Question: Why is it still important today that we honor the veterans that serve our country?

This week we spent some time apart from each other as a class, and because of that had some different experiences. Fifth graders went to camp, and fourth graders had what I understand was a fun and quiet class here at Opstad. Then we were all back for Walk-a-thon.

Oaky, this one's just for fun. :) I thought some of you might be in the habit of checking the blog (yeah!!), so I'm posting a question.  If you're here, go ahead and post -- I can't wait to read your responses.  Just so you know though, this one won't be due.
